On behalf of my beloved TEAMS members, welcome to TagTEAMS 2026.
What began as a bold idea has become a living, resonant reality. Presented by the Thai ElectroAcoustic Music Society (TEAMS), this inaugural edition transforms the heart of Bangkok’s Chinatown into a landscape of sound, where narrow streets vibrate with new frequencies and familiar spaces are reimagined through listening.
TagTEAMS 2026 is a meeting of worlds, bringing together immersive artworks, radical sonic experiments, technological spectacles, and quiet moments of deep attention. With over 70 artists from across the globe, this festival is not merely a program of performances. It is an invitation to experience sound as architecture, as memory, and as future.
Here, cultures intersect through loudspeakers and reflect in space.Thank you for joining us at the beginning of what we hope will be an enduring resonance.
Enjoy the journey, and welcome to the TEAMS!

Things are happening in Thailand:
Look to your left. Loudspeaker.
Look to your right. Loudspeaker.
Look back. Loudspeaker.
Look forward. Loudspeaker.
But above all, look up. There may be no loudspeakers. (that's true! -st)
But still, keep looking up, because that's where things will keep going from now.

Over the past decade, there have been significant changes in Thailand's local electronic music community. We have seen developments in interactions and collaborations among local artists and visiting artists from around the world. As one of the Synap[home/lab] founders and a TEAMS organizing member, I want to extend a warm welcome to all participating artists and the audience for this important milestone in the Thai electroacoustic community. I personally hope that this event will become a sharing ground for artists and enthusiasts from various backgrounds, bringing all cultures together to cherish the bonds and sonic experiences together.

Greetings and welcome to TagTEAMS 2026! When the team (pun intended) first briefed me on the upcoming electronic music “thing”, I never imagined their plan would be this ambitious. Then again—why not? Decades ago, I wouldn’t have dreamed of today’s electronic music landscape: the unlimited processing power, the sensors, the algorithms, even the Return of the Analog! But best of all, our world has grown smaller, and like-minded friends from across the globe now have the chance to come together and discuss the things we love—things that can change the world, because art has this power. And to host this in Bangkok’s Chinatown—how cyberpunk is that? Congratulations to the TagTEAMS team on this inaugural milestone, and thank you to all the participating musicians for sharing your electric dreams with us.

Speaking on behalf of myself and my colleagues at Birmingham ElectroAcoustic Sound Theatre (BEAST), we're delighted to be playing a part in the inaugural edition of TagTEAMS. Founded over 40 years ago, BEAST must now be one of the oldest running organisations for spatialised electroacoustic music in the world, so what a pleasure to be present at the formal launch of one of the newest, and see all the imagination, enthusiasm, and collaborative spirit TEAMS is bringing to their activities. I hope that this will provide a productive focal point for the range of exciting music happening in Thailand, the region, and beyond, and that it will thrive for years to come.
